I Believe that everyone deserves to have a job that they love. We all have a responsibility to live the best life we can. When we do that we make lives better for all of those around us – our family, our friends and our colleagues. Over my 20 years in corporate positions, I had the opportunities to work in a number of different types of environments and cultures. I have worked in supportive organizations and for managers whose values I shared and believed in. I have struggled with organizations and leaders who had different agendas and values and competencies. Through those experiences I have developed a passion for people and their success.
Everyone has the capability to create both career and personal success. We are not our jobs, but we do spend an extraordinary amount of our time at our jobs. It’s important to make sure we have the job that fulfills our desires.
I am an entrepreneur and business owner, but I am also an artist, a writer, a traveler, a family-member, a partner and a friend. We all wear many hats in our lives and not only deserve to have balance among all of those roles, but those who work for us deserve to experience that balance as well. The most important asset any business has is it’s people. No business can exist or thrive without people. We innovate, we strategize, we execute. We can find ways to innovate, strategize and execute with ease and grace. We can create cultures that not only challenge and grow our teams, but support them in their own personal journeys. Statistics have shown us that teammates who are happier in their lives and feel supported in their work are more productive and reach higher levels of success.
I have learned from chaos. I have grown through success and failure. I have worked long hours and long weeks and found ways to relax and recharge. And found the value in relaxing and recharging.
